Went to TEMASEK POLYTECHNIC
to help the dancers wif their make up.
TP held their yearly production,PENTAS,
yest wif the storyline-SUTERA..
Synopsis- Sutera (Silk), is the chosen theme for this year’s Pentas because it
resembles the controversial issues faced by the lead
character, Helmy. Silk, being a soft and translucent material that is
prohibited for Malay men to wear or use, resembles the controversy
between the character’s dream and societal expectations.
The fragility of the material also
aptly represents his emotion throughout his struggles.
it was my 4th yr watching PENTAS.i dunno why and wat was arousing in my mind as soon as i watched this production.
its sumhow brings me back to the real reality thats happening in life right now.
something controversial,whereby most ppl in the community is facing at this moment.
im truly SPEECHLESS!
Y?? hmmm..... i'd rather not say it.
but on my point of view,the casts really brings out the character well,
esp the lead actor.
the storyline was abit draggy during the first part..
but aftr few segments came in, i couldn't deny the fact that it was an eye-opener.
wif different supporting casts and grps,they do put up a gd performance,esp wif NIRA.. And interesting concept.and at the same time,humorous! =)
and i would like to congratulate AMIN for a wonderful choreography..
which is becoming more and more amazing!
but of coz,the dance wouldn't be able to project without the effort of the dancers By SENI NAK TARI (snt) who really brings out the emotions well during the dance.
keep it up!!
the other grps do really put up a gd effort. Such as PANJY SRI TEMASEK,
TITISAN, And also the crew who did a gd job for the lightings/sounds, NADI KESENIAN.
